IAAF world: Mark Otieno, Aaron Koech fails to proceed

Kenyan Mark Otieno Odhiambo failed to qualify to compete in the second round of 200m in the ongoing IAAF World Championships in Great Britain capital, London. 

Running on lane 5, Otieno failed to keep up the pace with Trinidad and Tobacco’s Jareem Richards who won the second heat clocking 20.05 compared to Otieno’s 20.74.

The second position went to American Kyree King with 20.41 and Rasheed Dwyer of Jamaica (20.49) completing the podium with top three finishers making it to the second round.

Yohan Blake from Jamaica won the first heat in 20:39 followed by Abdul Hakim Sani Brown (20.52) from Japan and Alex Wilson (20.54) completed the podium.

Another Kenyan Aaron Koech failed to qualify in 400m Hurdles to win the title his brother Nicholas Bett won two years ago in Beijing, China.

Koech finished a distance 7th position in second semi final clocking 50.40 to fail to compete at the final race
