The World 1,500m defending champion Asbel Kiprop, World 1,500m Silver medalist Elijah Motonei Manangoi, Ronald Kwemoi and Timothy Cheruiyot qualified to compete in the semi final race of 1,500m in the ongoing IAAF world championships in London.
The trio will be seeking to sweep the podium to ship in the bullion from former colonial master’s land that comes to an end on Sunday.
Competing as the defending champion, Kiprop played second fiddle to Manangoi who won the race in 3:45.93 as Kiprop was second in 3:45.96 in heat one.
Despite finishing 7th in heat two, Ronald Kwemoi qualified to compete in semi final when he finished as the fastest loser when he clocked 3:43.10.
Timothy Cheruiyot finished second in heat three to join fellow Kenyans. Cheyuiyot clocked 3:38.41
