KAGC series: Edwin Mudanyi close on John Karichu’s lead

Vet Lab Sports Club’s Edwin Mudanyi has closed in the leadership ladder in the Kenya Amateur Golf Championship(KAGC) series. 

Following his win in last weekend’s 2017 Kabete Open on home course, Mudanyi has moved to second position behind Limuru’s John Karichu.

Over the weekend at Vet Lab’s Kabete Open, Mudanyi carded rounds of 76, 71 and 74 for 221 gross, earning him 84 points towards the KAGC series for a total of 341.9 points which leaves him just 12 points behind current leader Karichu, who made only 13.6 points, after tying in seventh place on 229 gross with a total of 353.9 points.

Series leader Karichu played 73, 79 and 77 for 229n gross earning him 13 points in Kabete Open for a total of 353.9 points giving him a difference of 12 points from second placed Mudanyi.

Mike Kisia from Vet Lab, who enjoyed the lead for one a half months is third on the table when he won Coast Open three weeks ago. he currently boast of 327 after tying for the second place on 225 with Nyali’s Agil Is-Haq. There is still eight more events before the grand finale, the Nyali Open on December 8 to 10.
