Wycliffe Wangamati to set aside Kshs 200m for build Kanduyi stadium Construction

Raising standards of sports in Bungoma County, the Bungoma county Government has promised to upgrade the Masinde Muliro stadium, Kanduyi.

Through County governor Wycliffe Wangamati, the county will pump in kshs 200 million to liberate the county that has produced various sports personalities and budding ones in near future.

Speaking during Safaricom Chapa Dimba finals where Bishop Njenga Girls’ and Mukumu Boys were the winners of the Western region, Wangamati, the first time governor said his vision is to ensure the stadium gets international standards.

Apart from the 200 million for the Kanduyi based facility, Wangamati added that between kshs 100 to Kshs 200 million will build sub County stadia.

“We are known for producing sports talent in East Africa across all sports and our commitment as government is to help nature them,” said Wangamati who dethrone Kenneth Lusaka in last year’s general elections.

With his transformation agenda, he said that he desires to transform Bungoma into a leading county and this can only happen with commitment.

“I have said it before and I will repeat again today that my government will not entertain any form of corruption. We are committed to work towards bettering the lives of our people and we hope every member of this county will support us to achieve our goal,” he added.
