Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia and Gotv Shield Champions AFC Leopards will be seeking continental glory as they face their opponents this weekend.
Gor Mahia will start their Africa Champions League campaign against Leones Vegetarinos from Equatorial Guinea in preliminary round of first leg at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
Leopards on the other hand will start their Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) preliminary against Madagascar’s FOSA Juniors at Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega.
Gor Mahia has dominated the local front for the better part of this decade, winning a record 16 titles but have suffered early exits on the continent over that period.
Ingwe’s opponents FOSA Juniors has arrived in the country ahead of the match
Leopards, who commenced their 2018 league campaign with a one-all draw against Posta Rangers in Nakuru on Saturday, will however have to be wary of their opponents considering recent results.
In the past two seasons, Gor Mahia and Tusker have been eliminated from continental assignments by CNAPs (Madagascar) and AS Port Louis from Mauritius respectively.
