Prinsloo7s: Champions KCB face hosts Nakuru

Prinsloo sevens champions Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) has been pooled together with hosts Nakuru RFC in this weekend’s Prisloo sevens, the opener of Nation rugby sevens series in Nakuru’s Athletics Club in Division One.

KCB beat Homeboyz to lift the title last year and are in pool D alongside Nondescripts and Webuye RFC.

With Stanbic Bank being the series sponsor, the champions opens the door for many events that includes the Rugby world Sevens in USA.

Homeboyz RFC is in Pol B where they will square out with Kenya Harlequins, Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad and Kisumu RFC.

Fast rising Menengai Oilers who lit up the series in their debut season last year is in Pool C and have been pooled against last season’s series runners up Impala RFC, Western Bulls and Mombasa RFC.

Defending series champions Kabras Sugar headline Pool A where they will be joined by Strathmore Leos, Mwamba RFC and Mean Machine.

The opening round in Nakuru will be a 24-team affair as teams seek to secure promotion to the top tier competition at the second round of the circuit in Eldoret on July 28.

Pool B: Homeboyz, Kenya Harlequin, Blak Blad, Kisumu RFC
