KCB Karen Masters: Merrick Bremner back at the top on penultimate round

South African Merrick Bremner regained the lead on the third round in the second edition of KCB Karen Masters Golf tournament that comes to an end on Sunday at the par 72 Karen Country Club.

Bremer, who enjoyed round one lead with a shot, lost the table lead to countrymate Daniel Van Tonder but today, he made a comeback, firing four under par 68.

In his four rounds of professional golf, he accumulated to a total of 202 gross as second day leader Tonder dipped to joint fifth after shooting three under par 69 for a gross total of 204.

Bremner who is gunning for his sixth career Sunshine Tour victory goes into the last round tomorrow with a one-shot lead ahead of compatriots Tyrone Ryan, Pieter Moolman and Michael Palmer.

Italian Philip Geerts is the only non-South African on the top ten in seventh position. Geerts who was born in Kenya fired 2 under par 70 for a total of 205 gross.

Only Kenyan Simon Ngige with a total score of 3 under par 213 at penultimate stage. Another Kenyan Dismas Indiza is lying joint 34th with a total of 1 under par 215. South Africa based Kenyan Stefan Engell Andersen is lying joint 49th on 4 over par 218 while Rizwan Charania of Windsor is on 4 over par 220. Mohit Mediratta is on 5 under par 221 in joint 60thposition.
