Sepetuka7s: Kabras Sugar, Homeboyz wins double

Top teams dominated at the second edition of Sepetuka Sevens at Eldoret Sports Club in National sevens circuit today.

Reigning national champions Kabras Sugar and season opener champions at Prinsloo sevens Homeboyz registered wins in their opening matches ahead of tomorrow’s finals in the second leg of the tournament.

The Sepetuka sevens defending champions Kabras beat Strathmore Leos 24-14 before beating Kisumu RFC 7-5.

Fly half Paul Abuto was the first to make a try that was converted by Dominic Osino as Owen Otieno.

Prinsloo champions Homeboyz came from 10-0 down to beat Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) 33-17.

Former series champions Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) started on a high note beating Kisii RFC 29-0 in their first match.

Kenya Harlequins lost their opener to Nondescripts 12-0 with tries from Saidi Sumba Benjamin Marshall.

After successfully hosting series opener, Nakuru RFC won all their opening matches to secure quarter final slot.

In the opening match, the Nakuru based club hammered Blak Blad 26-19 and thrashed another university side Catholic Monks 43-0 make it to the best eight.

Impala Saracens beat Monks 24-7 as Stanbic Mwamba edged Strathmore Leos 14-12 to become the fourth team to sail through.
