Edwin Mudanyi to defend Kabete Open title

Fresh from finishing second with similar points with John Karichu at the Uganda Amateur Open golf championships on par 71 Entebbe Golf Club, Edwin Mudanyi will be taking to the greens again to defend his Kabete Open Golf championships Golf Kabete Open: Edwin Mudanyi wins Kabete Open on home soi this weekend at Vet Lab Golf Club.

In the 54 hole championships, the 2017 Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) champion beat home golf Mike Kisia to lift the title before going ahead to win the overall title.

The hunt for points in the tournament has attracted 47 golfers in the five year old tournament as jhe will face home golfers Kisia, Robinson Owiti, Isaac Makokha, and Isaiah Otuke, former KAGC champion Karichu from Limuru, Paul Muchangi (Limuru), Simon Njogu of the Great Rift Valley Resort ,Samuel Njoroge (Royal) and George Felix.

The opening round is set for Saturday 7am followed by the second round in the afternoon while the third and final round will take place on Sunday.
