Kenyan born turned Kazakhstan international Norah Jeruto ended world 3,000m record holder Beatrice Chepkoech seven races unbeaten run at the Oslo Diamond league held yesterday.
The former world junior champion Jeruto, who runs alongside her sister Daisy Chepkemei won the water and barreiers race in 9:03.71 in a meeting record
Chepkoech ran her season best in 9:04.30 ahead of former world 3,000m steeplechase champion Hyvin Kiyeng came in third in 9:07.56 with world champion Emma Coburn fourth in 9:08.42.
World under 18 5,000m champion Selemon Barega won 3000m ahead of world 10km record holder Joshua Cheptegei and former Africa cross country junior champion Nicholas Kipkorir Kimeli.
The Ethiopian Barega won the race in 7:32.17 ahead of uganda’s Cheptegei 7:33.26 and Kenya’s Kimeli in 7:34.85.
