Kipchoge, Kamworor, Rono participate at Lewa Marathon

World marathon record holder Eliud Kipchoge and world half marathon record holder Geoffrey Kamwororo participated in the virtual Lewa marathon.

This year’s race was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic but the organizers staged a virtual race where London marathon champion Kipchoge and New York marathon winner Kamworor were joined by rangers ahead of the rescheduled June 27 race.

The two athletes said it was part of their training as they were joined by two time Toronto marathon champion Philemon Rono and upstart Jonathan Rotich.
