With rugby season set to kick off in January, according to Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) fixtures, top teams have gone for shopping to secure maximum points.
Kenya Harlequins have acquired the services of former Homeboyz player Joshua Chisanga, Emmanuel Mavala and Philip Ikambili and kicker Evin Asena.
They also signed Impala Saracens Xavier Kipng’etich also Isaac Wafula and Brian Oyando from Western Bulls and Administration of Police respectively.
Nondescripts have signed Samuel Motari and Kanyiri Kariuki from Quins.
But the Sarries brought in five new players that has Nesta Okoth and Ken Moseti from KCB Rugby as well as Martin Juma from United States International University (USIU), Nakuru’s Teddy Ratemo and Albert Obura from Strathmore Leos
Champions Kabras Sugar: Alfred Orega and Aaron Adhanja from Mean Machine, Teddy Akala and Derrick Ashiundu from Western Bulls and Victor Oduor (Kisumu) and Citam Kisumu’s Edwin Ochieng.
After bringing in six, they lost Washington Ombima and Teddy Omondi to Kisumu RFC.
Nakuru RFC brought in Gilbert Ochieng, Mike Mare and Rogers Audi all from Menengai Oilers and Gideon Mbithi from Mwamba.
The Oilers signed three players- Elvis Kolian (Shamas Rugby), Paul Buloa (Nakuru) and Neville Nyongesa (Kabarak University).
Mwamba signed Charles Kuka (USIU) and Kenya Cup champions KCB Rugby have so far signed only one player, Wilfred Waswa from Northern Suburbs.
Kabarak University signed Elma Obiero and Julius Ngesa all from Nakuru.
