AK moves all relay meetings to Nyayo stadium

Over 200 athletes are expected to throng to Nyayo Stadium for the opening leg of Athletics Kenya series World Athletics Relays Championships in Selesia, Poland on May 1-2. 

The federation has moved all the four meetings to Nyayo starting and starting this Saturday 9th, with the North Rift that was to host the second leg on January 23 before Kericho Green Stadium set to host the third leg on February 6 have all been moved to Nyayo as well as National trials March 26-27 at the Nyayo National Stadium.

The athletes will compete in the six relay events starting from 4x100m; 4x200m; 4x400m mixed relays; 2x2x400m and shuttle relays before hitting the training camp for the world show in Poland. 

All the four relay events will be held at Nyayo Stadium, Nairobi owing to travel and Covid-19 protocol requirements. 

The second and third relay series will be held on January 23 and February 6 respectively before the trials proper on March 26-27.
