Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia stunned former champions Mathare United in today’s FKF premier league match played at Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani.
The Champions, who lost to Kariobangi Sharks 4-3 over the weekend, it was a good consolation after winning 3-1 to the slum boys.
Charles Saramu scored first for Gor in the 4th minute before captain Kenneth Muguna doubled in the 17th minute before Alphonse Onyango sealed the victory in the 89th minute after Dani Lual scored a consolation for Mathare in the 75th minute.
Following the victory, Gor moves into 11th position from four matches with six poits. With the four games, Gor has lost two and won two. But it was misery for slum boys who now lies at the bottom of the league after playing two matches.
The reinstated Mathare has lost all their two matches.
