Gaspo, Wadadia win as Vihiga draw

Gaspo Women, Wadadia won maximum points in today’s Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) matches in the country.

But it was a god comeback for Vihiga Queens to pick a point against Nakuru West Queens in Nakuru.

At Stima Members Club, Gaspo Women won 2-0 away to Mathare United Women to improve their tally in Zone A.

Mercy Airo and Elizabeth Wambui netted a goal each for Gaspo past Mathare in the 7th minute and 89th minute to seal the victory.

Top scorer Ruth Chebungei scored a brace as Wadadia handed Eldoret Falcons their 5th loss in the league at the Mumias Sports Complex in Zone B. Chebungei secured the three points with pointless Falcons who are at the bottom of the table.

In another Zone B encounter, Tereza Engesha bagged a brace as champions Vihiga Queens came from 2-0 down to pick a point in a 2-2 draw final score against their hosts Nakuru West Queens at the Afraha stadium in Nakuru.
