With match-fixing affecting Kenyan football, Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed has termed such incidents as doping.
Amina who toured Eldoret on Tuesday said that match-fixing is a form of doping that will be crippling the sports industry.
With Ugandan international Ronald Mugisha, who was arrested in Kenya for the planned match-fixing, Amina said match fixing is just as bad as doping and she vowed that as a government they are going to deal with it just the same way we will deal with doping.
“There is no absolutely no difference between doping and match-fixing and you are going to see what measures we are going to take in dealing with this new trend, which is not going to be allowed. Those responsible will be held accountable and each one of us can also accept our young talent to be exposed to match fixing,” said
