Malkia Strikers set for camp on Tuesday

National women’s volleyball team Malkia Strikers are set to begin their bubble camp at the Kasarani Indoor Arena ahead of the Tokyo Olympics Games

The 20 provisional squad selected by the head coach Paul Bitok hit the training camp on Tuesday and Bitok will team up with Japheth Munala and Josp Barasa as 16 players will serve at the high performance training.

The final squad of 12 players will then head to Kurobe City where they will then proceed to Tokyo for the July 23 to August 8 event. Team manager Alfred Chedotum said its all system go.


Setter-Joy Lusenaka, Esther Mutinda, Jane Wacu and Immaculate Nekesa.

Right attackers -Emmaculate Chemtai, Violet Makuto, Sharon Chepchumba.

Middle blockers-Edith Wisa, Joan Jelagat, Gladys Ekaru, Carolyne Sirengo and Lorrine Chebet.

Left attackers- Mercy Moim (captain), Noel Murambi, Leonida Kasaya, Jemmima Siangu, and Pamela Masaisai

Liberos- Elizabeth Wanyama, Agripina Kundu and Josphine Wafula.
