Wakhu best Kenyan as Harding takes the lead at Savanna Classic in Karen

Golf Park’s David Wakhu is the best Kenyan player on the opening round of Kenya Savannah Classic at the par 71 Karen Golf club.

Fresh from winning the Magical Kenya at the same venue, South African Justin Harding fired -7 64 in joint lead with three golfers. Joost Luiten (Netherlands), Clément Sordet (Frenchman) and Alejandro Cañizares (Spain).

Wakhu, who failed to make the cut at the Kenya Open fired -5 66 to complete round one on 12th position while Dismas Indiza and Mohit Mediratta carded a 72 while Greg Snow shot -1 and Kenyan sensation Samuel Njoroge played level par 71.
