Stars face Cranes in Fifa World cup qualifiers

Kenya will start their Fifa World Cup qualifiers against their neihbours Uganda.

With both teams seeking their maiden appearance at the world football extravaganza, Harambee Stars face Uganda Cranes according to the fixtures released by Confederation of African Football (Caf) today.

Kenya will host the opening fixture in Kasarani between on June 5 and travel to Kigali to face Rwanda’s Amavubi, then Mali at home and away on September 3 and 8 and play again Uganda in Kampala and Rwanda in Nairobi in October.

Kenya and Uganda have consistently come short of qualifying for the World Cup and the two teams are reeling from failing to qualify for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

  2. Rwanda v Kenya – 12th/13th June
  3. Mali v Kenya – 3rd/4th Sept
  4. Kenya v Mali – 6th/7th Sept
  5. Uganda v Kenya – 6th/7th Oct
  6. Kenya v Rwanda – 11th/12th Oct
