Kenya’s Edwin Asuza Mudanyi and John Wangai are the best Kenyan professional golfer at the ongoing Cote d’Ivoire Open on par 72 President Golf Club in Yamoussoukro.
The Vet Lab Mudanyi fired level par in second round for a total of three over par 147 to finish in T23. In his opening round on Wednesday, he fired three over par 75 ahead of tomorrow’s penultimate stage in the 72 hole tournament that comes to an end on Saturday.
Signa’s Wangai, also in T23 has amassed a total of three over par 147 following his six over par 78 and three under par 69 in the first and second rounds respectively.
Great Rift Valley Golf Resort Jasas Madoya fired identical two over par 74 in first and second rounds to complete round two on four over par 148 to complete on T26.
The tournament saw
A field of 67 golfers are battling it out for the top prize where 30 of them made the cut today ahead of third and 4th final round.
Nigerian pros Vincent Torgah, who enjoyed round one lead alongside Zimbabwe’s Visitor Mapwanya on five under par 67, continued with his form as he led round two with -10 134.
As Torgah take the lead, his counterpart Willy Gift follows nin second positions as well as Ghana’s Emos Korblah and Andrew Odoh in eight under par 136.
