Olunga fires a brace as Al Duhail drop points against t Esteghlal

Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga grabbed a brace as his Al Duhail played out to a draw against Esteghlal in their Asian Cup return leg.

After securing a hat-trick on Thursday against the same opponents in a 4-3 win, Olunga grabbed a brace in a 2-all draw.

The Harambee Stars captain urged his teammates to fire up ahead of their next encounter against Al Shorta.

Following the draw, Al Duhail still leads Group C on eight points from four matches.

The former Gor Mahia striker first converted from the spot before grabbing his second in the 58th-minute to take his tally of goals in the competition to six.

Esteghlal scored first through Cheick Diabate in the 27th minute from the penalty before Olunga levelled in the 45+2 minutes from the spot too for a 1-1 into break.

On resumption, Olunga scored his brace in the 58th minute to give Al Duhail a 2-1 lead but in the 61st minute, Mehdi Ghayedi levelled the score for a 2-2 draw at the final score.
