Shujaa in Rugby World Cup qualifiers set for South Africa

Shujaa, the Kenya rugby sevens team will be hoping to make the 24-team cut for the 2022 Rugby Sevens World Cup that will be held in Cape Town South Africa.

After enjoying an automatic qualification in 2013 in Moscow and 2018 in the USA Shujaa failed to live their expectations in the latter that will be forced to undergo qualifiers.

The Innocent Simiyu led side finished the 2018 edition in the 16th, meaning they lost the automatic qualifiers in the event that will be held between September 9the and September 11th.

Defending champions New Zealand, England, South Africa Fiji, Argentina, USA, France, Scotland have already qualified in men while women champions New Zealand, France, Australia and USA have also made the cut.

Rugby World Cup Sevens 2022 will be contested by 24 men’s and 16 women’s teams.
