Gor thumb CUSCO to advance in FKF Cup

Kenya Premier league (KPL) champions Gor Mahia stunned Divion Two side Cambridge Universal College (CUSCO) to advance in the FKF Cup match played today at the Ruaraka grounds.

The former champions thumbed CUSCO 5-0 in the round 32 to set the date with Mara Sugar FC in Round 16 to be played this weekend.

Mara Sugar knocked out NYSA 2-0 at Awendo Green Stadium in Migori on Tuesday.

John Macharia and Tito Okello bagged a brace each Joachim Oluoch scoring one.

FKF is expected to set the date for the final before June 30 deadline from Confederation of African Football (Caf) to present names of representatives for continental club competitions

Former champions AFC Leopards on Wednesday edged out premier league side Posta Rangers to advance to the next round with the only goal scored by Collins Sichenje at the Utalii grounds.

Kariobangi Sharks registered a 2-0 win against Division Two side Tandaza at Utalii Grounds with goals from Tom Teka (59th) and skipper Geoffrey Lemu (72nd) as Ulinzi Stars overcame eliminate Sofapaka 2-0 win goals netted by John Njuguna in the 5th minute and Oscar Wamalwa on 42 minutes.

In other Wednesday matches, Bidco United thrashed Twyford 7-0 at Thika Stadium with Zachary Gathu and Stephen Obukoi bagging a brace each while Eric Gichimu, Nelson Chieta and David Orem also got their names on the score sheet.

Tusker beat Marafiki 4-1 at Kinunga Stadium as Bandari saw of Dimba 5-1 at Mbaraki Sports Club.
