Eight time champions AFC Leopards and Division one side Equity progressed to the semifinals of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Cup during the quarterfinals played today.
In what seemed to be a final before the final, Leopards defeated Kenya Premier League leaders Tusker FC by a solitary goal to advance.
Isaac Kipyegon easily converted from a spot kick to beat former champions Tusker in a match played at the Ruaraka Grounds.
Tusker had beaten Division one side Luanda Villa by a solitary goal Leopards also defeated Division two side Bungoma Super Stars 4-2 at Thika stadium.
Equity FC produced a stunning performance to edge out holders Bandari 1-0 at the Ruaraka.
Kajumba Sande struck the solitary goal on 58 minutes to send Equity into their first ever semi-finals.
The John Baraza coached side will now face Leopards in the semi-finals this weekend.

On Thursday with Kariobangi Sharks will be playing league champions Gor Mahia at Utalii from 3pm while Bidco United and Nairobi City Stars square it off in the other last eight encounter.
