Meru University fails to dominate at home at Roll Ball penultimate stage

Meru University failed to take home advantage at this weekend’s penultimate stage of Kenya Roll Ball Federation National League ahead of next Sunday’s final round at Gretsa University.

The two day event at the Meru University, the hosts won one out of six matches they played to remain rooted at the bottom of the 12 team men’s league.

In the opening match, they lost 2-4 to Kisii University on Saturday and on Sunday, they went down with a 0-4 loss to Archibella, 3-5 to Remnants, 2-12 to Decathlon as women side beat Remnants 10-0.

The league will be coming to an end this weekend at the Gretsa University with JKUAT sides Hunters and JKUAT Panthers for men and women respectively.

The Hunters, on 18 points will be seeking to defend their title they won in 2019 season and will be challenged by their second team The Wolves who are in second position with 17 points with both teams playing ten matches.

Women leaders The Panthers on 14 points will be chasing their title when they will face second placed Archibella. Panthers enjoy a point lead from seven matches as Archibella has accumulated 13 points from similar games.

Ladies defending champions GOA Ladies lies in 4th position with ten points after playing eight matches.
