Kenya Prison and General Service Unit (GSU) retained their Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) league that ended today at the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Makande Hall in Mombasa.
Kenya Prisons retained their women title after beating KCB 3-1 (25-22, 25-13, 21-25 and 25-17). KCB settled for the runners up position with former champions Pipeline sealing the podium finish above DCI, who finished last on one point, as the curtains fell on the three-day volleyball league climax.
The Josp Barasa led side had defeated DCI 3-2 and Kenya Pipeline 3-1 Friday and Saturday respectively.
Prisons and KCB booked tickets for the next year’s African Club Championships for finishing first and second respectively.
GSU won back to back titles for a record 14 following their victory against bitter rivals Kenya Prisons 3-1 (25-21, 18-25, 25-17 and 25-14).
