Omanyala break Simbine time Africa record at Kip Keino classic

Record breaker Ferdinand Omanyala continued with his record after setting another national record at the Kip Keino Classic at the Kasarani stadium.

Omanyala, who finished second in 100m behind former World 100m champion Trayvon Bromell of United States who won the title in 9.76 with Omanyala coming home second in 9.77 to set his second fastest time over the distance this year.

Omanyala smashed the African record of 9.84 seconds held by South African Akani Simbine.

Omanyala also shattered his own national record that stood at 9.86 seconds as he outclassed his idol, two-time World 100m champion Justin Gatlin from United States to third place in 10.03 seconds.
