Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has today announced Engin Firat as the Harambee Stars head coach and former Gor mahia goalkeeper Jerim Onyango as goalkeeper trainer.
Firat from Turkey will replace Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee at the Stars ahead of 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Mali at home and away, Rwanda at home and Uganda away.
The UEFA Pro Coaching License holder has been offered a two months contract and will be assisted by Kennedy Odhiambo and William Muluya.
Before being appointed as Stars cpoach, he was the Moldova National team and also coached Iranian Super League with Saipa, Folad Tabriz, and Sepahan, as well as the Iranian National Team.
Jerim Onyanga will be taking the position of goalkeeping coach Haggai Azande who also left last week alongside Mulee.
