Malkia fail to revenge over Cameroon at Africa Volleyball championships

Kenya’s Malkia Strikers failed to revenge against Cameroon during the finals of Africa Nations women volleyball championships that came to an end this night in Kigali, Rwanda.

The Paul Bitok team fell to Cameroon in the opening fixture in straight sets of 25-20, 25-21 and 25-19, today they lost 3-1 in 21-25, 23-25, 25-15 and 23-25.

Cameroon were crowned the champions of the continent and both finalists will represent the continent in the 2022 World Championships that will take place in Holland.

At the individual prizes Cameroonian Moma Bassoko was the best server, with Kenya’s Esther Ekaru winning the best blockers’ prize.

Moroccan Alexandra was the best setter and Kenya’s Sharon Chepchuma as the best attacker while her captain Mercy Moim was the best receiver of the tournament.

Best Libero went to Moroccan Yousra Saudi and Nana Christel was the most Valuable Player.
