Ambaka on a brace as Shujaa beat Chile in Edmonton7s opener

Willy Ambaka landed a brace as Kenya sevens defeated Chile in the opening match of HSMC World Rugby Sevens series in Edmonton, Canada.

The Innocent Simiyu charges won the opener 53-05 in the pool B encounter where Alvin Otieno landed the first converted try for a 7-0 lead before Ambaka’s back to back touch down erned Kenya 19-0 where Mark Kwemoi added the extras in the second try and Chile earned a consolation unconverted try through Felipe Brangier.

New star Kwemoi landed the 4th try converting it before Alvin Marube crossed the white-wash for 31-5 and Kenya earned the penalty and Timothy Mmasi rounded off the try where he converted for a 38-05 win.

In other pool B match, USA beat Spain 29-17
