Mwanahalima Adam and Dorcas Shikobe are the only players missing in the Harambee Starlets squad, the national women soccer team training at the Kasarani stadium, Annex ahead of their match against South Sudan in the Africa Women’s Cup of Nation qualifiers next week.
Mwanahalima, who secure a chance to play for Turkish side Hakkarigucu Spor on loan has not reported to the camp as well as Shikobe who plays for Lakatamia FC.
The duo will be joining the Starlets team that will be captained by Neddy Akoth who plays for Ulinzi Starlets that last week won the FKF Women Cup title after beating vihiga Queens 2-1 at the finals in Nakuru.
Harambee Starlets who failed to qualify for the 2018 AWCON competition after losing to Uganda and Equatorial Guinea in the qualifiers, will aim to bounce back in the Regional showpiece, and ultimately earn a slot in the 2023 FIFA Women World Cup that will be co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia
tarlets are scheduled to play South Sudan in first leg on October 20 at the Nyayo Stadium. The return leg match will be played on October 24 at the same venue.
