City Stars lead as Homeboyz, Talanta, Mathare, Bandari, KCB win

Nairobi City Stars and Kakamega Homeboyz have continued with their good run in the FKF Premier League.

City Stars, who defeated Bidco United 2-0 today have occupied top position with 9 points after playing four matches, one better than Homeboyz who occupy second position on the same points but shy of goals.

The Thika stadium was good when former Gor Mahia striker Nicholas Kipkirui and substitute Erick Ombija scored the two goals against Bidco to seal the top position.

At Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega, Homeboyz were 2-0 winners against Posta Rangers with Francis Omondi and David Odhiambo.

2008 champions Mathare United were 2-1 winners against their hosts Nzoia Sugar at the Sudi stadium.

Martin Nderitu scored first for Mathare and Hassan Beja leveled the score but John Mwangi scored the winning goal for the slum boys.

In other matches, Kariobangi Sharks registed a one-all draw against visiting Wazito with Bandari beating former chmpions AFC Leopards 2-1 at Mbaraki.

KCB were 2-1 winners over 2009 champions Sofapaka.

On Saturday FC Talanta were 2-0 winners against Vihiga Bullets in the battle of the promoted sides. Both Talanta and Vihiga had been promoted following their first and second finish in the National Super League.
