Mukhwana set new record as Girma win Bilbao Night marathon

Kenyan Ednah Mukhwana and Ethiopia’s Habtamu Girma won the Bilbao Night Marathon titles ran in Spain on Saturday.

Mukhwana won the title in 2:36.39 setting a new course record beating the record that had been set by Ethiopian Zeritu Wakjire in 2019 at 2:49.24.  

Ethiopia’s Girma won the men’s title in 2:16.02 ahead of Kenyan Paul Waweru (2:16.32) ad compatriot Sylvester Kemeli for third position timing 2:27.49.

Elvis Chebor won the hald marathon title in 61:54 with Ugandan Rachel Zena dominating women race in 71:23.
