Queens’ Baton set for Uganda ahead of Commonwealth Games

After three days in Kenya, the Queens baton, the Commonwealth Torch has left the country to Uganda ahead of Commonwealth Games next year in Birmingham City, Great Britain.

Sports cabinet secretary Amina Mohammed, who received the Baton alongside National Olympics Committee of Kenya that landed in Kenya from Cameroon will land in Uganda tomorrow for the showcase.

Others to receive the baton were the refugee athletes, paralympics and children who went round the city parading the Baton before going through Ngong Hills, a key training facility for Kenyan athletes. 

The relay ended with a visit to the Statehouse where the First lady, H.E. Margaret Kenyatta received the baton.
