Okutoyi, Changawa in medal bracket at Africa Nations

Former Kenya Open Tennis champion Angella Okutoyi and Ismael Changawa will be fighting for medals at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations Tennis in Menzah, Tunisia.

Okutoyi will be facing off with Tunisian Chiraz Benhri in the bronze medal battle after losing at the semifinal play to Egyptian Lamis Alhussein 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 after beating Algerian Yasmine Boudjadi in straight sets of 6-4, 6-2 as she seeks to improve on her 2018 silver of the same tournament.

Changawa beat Libyan Ahmed Mouhan 6-2, 6-2 in the quarter-final to storm into semis.

In other results, Albert Njogu and Derick Ominde lost 2-6, 4-6 to Makhlouf and beat Ahamada Naim from Comoros 6-2, 6-0.

Njogu and Ominde will meet Hafedh Said from Mauritania and Joel Meda from Burkina Faso.
