Former world cross country champion Agnes Jebet Tirop husband Ibrahim Kipkemboi Rotich has denied killing the world champion last month.
Today, the prime suspect in the murder case, Rotich was presented before Justice Reuben Nyakundi in Eldoret High court and denied all the allegations labeled against him.
Nyakundi directed that the matter be mentioned on December 1, 2021.
Rotich is suspected to have murdered Tirop on October 12, and her body was discovered on October 13 in her house in Iten, Elgeyo Marakwet County.
When his charges were read to him, he denied: “It’s not true your honour,” responded Rotich.
Through his lawyer, Ngige Ngugi, Rotich indicated that he would apply to be released on bond as the case continues.
