Omanyala, Jepkosgei, Kemboi to lead Kenyan runners at Dubai Run

National 100m champion Ferdinand Omanyala, former world 800m champion Janeth Jepkosgei, multiple 3,000m champion Ezekiel Kemboi are among the athletes who will be showcasing Kenya at the Dubai Run.

The trio will be joined by former London marathon champion Priscah Jeptoo, Hellen Nzembi, Berlin marathon second finisher Bethwel Yegon and Jonathan Kiplimo Maiyo will be competing in the races dubbed ‘Run with the Champions at the next weekend.

The 2021 Dubai Run is among several activities lined-up for the seven athletes who will represent Kenya at the Expo 2020 Dubai.

Omanyala will be the leader of the athletes’ delegation where he will be competing in 3km distance.

The Expo 2020 Dubai was initially scheduled to take place from October 20, 2020, to April 10, 2021, but it was cancelled due to Covid-19.
