Simbas maintains dominance against Brazil at Stellenbosch Challenge

Kenya Simbas, the national rugby15s maintained their good performance against Brazil at the ended Stellenbosch Challenge in South Africa.

The Paul Odera coached side defeated Brazil 36-30 to win bronze with Fijian Jone Kubu the star at the Simbas side to redeem their image after losing to Namibia 60-24 while Brazil went down 24-22 to Zimbabwe in the semi-finals in the World Rugby-sanctioned tournament aimed to help all the teams prepare for the Rugby World Cup qualification journey next year.

Namibia, Zimbabwe and Kenya will head out to France in July next year for the Rugby Africa Cup that will double up as the Regional Qualifier for the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

John Okoth and Vincent Onyala and Malcom Onsando scored Simbas’ other tries.
