The newly appointed Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Caretaker Committee has set new dates for the resumption football leagues in the country.
The committee announced that the league should whistle off next weekend
Addressing the press today, head of secretariat Lindah Oguttu said that they have had meetings with stakeholders to come up with a synchronised approach that will see matches resuming next weekend.
“We plan to have talks with the Kenyan Premier League to devise a strategy that will restore order in the operations of the top-flight,” he added.
Oguttu also reiterated the Caretaker Committee will nullify the results of league matches played during the period of the suspension.
“Consider those as friendly matches,” Oguttu said.
Accompanied by Ali Amour, a member of the FKF Caretaker Committee, and Michael Muchemi, the secretariat’s secretary.
Amour also confirmed that the suspended leagues will resume next weekend.
