Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) national league champions National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) have been seeded first ahead of the 2022 Handball Super Cup.
The champions, which won the title on 34 points after losing just one match leads pool A and have been pooled together with Black Mamba that finished third on 32 points with inferior points against second placed Strathmore University and Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) who finished 5th with 28 points.
Following their second finish in the league, Strathmore University leads pool B. after accumulating 32 points, the university side will be taking on 4th finisher General Service Unit (GSU) with 30 points and Kenyatta University that were the last to make the cut in the six-team tournament with 28 points.
Women champions Nairobi Water, who finished the league unbeaten and without dropping a single point by garnering 28 points will be taking on KDF that finished second with 24 points as well as NCPB that were third and newbies Nanyuki that have managed 17 points.
The women’s league will be played in round robin in the four-team format.
