Shujaa beat Canada to face South Africa at Dubai7s 2 quarters

Kenya Sevens Shujaa will be taking on South Africa at the ongoing Dubai Sevens after finishing as third best qualifier.

The Innocent Simiyu coached side, who lost two of their opening fixtures to Australia and the USA, managed to beat Canada in their last pool B event to qualify into the best eight.

This is after Shuja qualified for the last eight as one the best third-place finishers off the preliminaries in a second consecutive tournament at the Sevens Stadium.

The East Africans saw off Canada 26-14 in their final pool match after losing the first two encounters to USA (24-21) and Australia (21-14).

The Dubai 1 Champions South Africa who are on a 21-match unbeaten run in 2021 are favourite set for tomorrow at 9:50am EAT.

The Blitzboks registered a 100% win record in the group stage beating Great Britain (21-7), Japan and Ireland.
