Chebet retains her Sao Silvestre de Paulo 15km title

Former world Junior 2,000m steeplechase champion Sndrafelis Chebet Tuei won the 96th edition of Sao Silvestre de Paulo 15km Road race held on Friday in Latin America.

Chebet, who has dominated the cross country, road races and track retained her title she last won in 2019 following the cancellation of 2020 championships due to the coronavirus.

The 23 year-old defeated Ethiopian Yenenesh Dinkesa when she cut the tape in 50:06 with Dinkesa coming home in second place.

Brazilian runners Jenifer dos Nascimento, Valdilene dos Santos Silva and FRancieli dos Santos Moura, crossed the line in third, fourth and fifth, respectively
