Kenya Amateur Strokeplay moved to Vipingo Ridge as KGU add three events on KAGC Calendar

Kenya Golf Union (KGU) has added three events at the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships formerly Golfer of the Year (GOTY) that tees off in two weeks’ time.

According to the calendar, the union has included Golf Park meeting at the Golf Park club, Malindi Open at the Malindi Sports Club and Kiambu Open at the at Kiambu club.

With all events being a 36-hole, the Golf Park meeting will tee off on May 14th to 15th as Malindi Open starts on August 27th to 28th and Kimabu tees off on November 19th to 20th.

But the Magical Kenya Golf Championships, the European Tour set for Muthaiga between March 3rd to 6th top the list as well as the regional championships that include Africa Regional Four Amateur Championship in Uganda, Victoria Cup between Kenya and Uganda national teams, Eisenhower Trophy at the Le Golf National in France from September 1 to 4 where Kenya is expected to send a team.

Others ibclude the All Africa Team Golf Championship, whose dates and venue are yet to be announced, Tannahill Shield.

Kenya Amateur Stroke Play championship, another Magical Kenya Open qualifier, will take place for the first time at the Baobab course in Vipingo Ridge Golf Resort in Kilifi County.
