Robert Ojienda resigns as Shabana fc coach

Robert Ojienda has resigned as Shabana fc head coach following their poor perform=ance in the National Super League, the second tier football league in the country.

On his facebook page, Ojienda wtote: “I take this chance to thank the entire family of Shabana FC for trusting me with the opportunity as the team’s head coach since last season.”

The former Kenya Premier League side lies 4th on the table after losing by a solitary goal to Kisumu AllStars and a league led by Administration Police Service (APS) Bomet.

“For the time we’ve been together, I have learnt a lot — which added value to my career as a coach. l leave this great team today a very happy man going by the record that it’s better than l found it though the journey was to go beyond their current level (NSL).”

He added: “It’s with great honour that l thank the management for the enormous support during my tenure in office. Special thanks to my players both from last season and this season. You guys have a special place in my heart, not forgetting members of the technical bench. I wish the team well in their future assignments.”
