Africa 100m record holder Ferdinand Omurwa Omanyala and Valencia Icerbajan 10km champion Daniel Simiu will headline the World Athletics Mondeville Indoor Tour meeting in France tomorrow.
Omanyala, who set the national record in the 60m at the Miramas meeting last Friday in France when he won in 6:65 is expected to extent his winning ways when he lines up with great sprinters for the title.
He erased the Paulvince Obuon’s Kenyan record of 6.70 that was set in 2005.
Simiu, who is an all surface runner will be chasing the 3,000m title. As a 5,000m and road runner, Simiu said the race will provide an opportunity for him to join the Kenyan team for the Commonwealth as well as World championships.
