Shamas players Joseph, James and Ouma handed 14 years ban

Shamas rugby players have been handed 14 years cumulative ban for assaulting centre referee during the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) championships semifinal play-off against Catholic Monks.

Today, the KRU handed 14 years for brothers Joseph and James Kangethe and Julian Ouma six years, five and half years, while Owino will serve three years.

The KRU disciplinary committee made up of George Mbaye, Aggrey Chebeda and Duncon Ndegwa found the trio quilt for assaulting centre referee.
