Former world cross country champion Irene Cheptai and Philemon Kiplimo will be the star attraction at this Saturday’s Prague Half marathon crowns.
Fresh from finishing second at the New York City Half marathon last weekend, Cheptai will be seeking to redeem her image in Czech Capital on Saturday 2nd April.
The former World cross country junior silver medalist will be competing in her 4th half marathon after finishing 4th at both New Delhi and Bahrain half marathons and went ahead to finish second at the New York.
At New York half marathon, she finished second behind champion Senbere Teferi in 67:35 and 67:35 respectively.
Cheptai with 66:43, will be accompanied by compatriots like Brenda Jepleting (65:44), Nelly jepchumba (67:46), Nesphine Jeplting as well as Sheila Jebiwot as well as Ethiopian Ftaw Zeray benabh.
In men, Kiplimo, enjoying 58:11 will be up against compatriots Kennedy Kimutai (58:28), Kenneth Kiprop Renju (58:35), Mathew Kimeli (58:43), Bernard Kimeli, Josphat Kiprotich, Gerba Dibaba, Alfred barkach as well as Wisley Kibichii.
