Chipu fall to Namibia at Barthes Cup semis

Chipu, the Kenya under 20 Rugby team fell to Namibia in today Barthes Trophy semifinals at the Nyayo stadium in Nairobi.

The defending champions lost 16-05, meaning the Curtis Olago coached side will miss out an opportunity to play in the Junior World Rugby Trophy(JWRT).

The former champions Namibia scored first through Oeta Blaauw who converted a penalty for a 3-0 into break and on resumption, Namibia’s Jimachio William try was converted by Blaauw for 10-0.

Blaauw converted the second penalty for 13-0 lead and kicked over another penalty for 16-0 lead but Joseph Ayiro touched down for unconverted try for 16-05 loss.
