Muthaiga golf club has set their focus to defend the Tannahill Shield trophy in tomorrow’s finals at the Nairobi Royal Golf club.
Marking its 97th birthday, Tannahill remains one of the oldest golf foursome tournament in the country where Muthaiga who won the title last year are aiming to retain it after picking maximum points to lead Limuru and Western.
The Saturday second round the Muthaiga team made up of Njoroge Kibugu (junior), Taimur Malik (Junior) and Daniel Kiragu (junior) defeated Karen 8-0 and 6-2 against Kenya Railway Golf Club for 30 points.
Other team of Muthaiga’s Neer Chandaria and Bhavnish Chandaria beat Karen’s Gakuo Macharia and Paul Kaguamba 4-3.
Khushil Nathwani and John Gitonga scored an easy 6-5 against Gilbert Maina and Wade Kilburn as Aman Sodi and Taimur Malik won then James Ngotho and Emmanuel Agengo.
In the last match, Bo Ciera and Daniel Kiragu posted a 2-up victory against Justus Njogu and Alister Scott
Railway beat Karen 5-3, while hosts Royal beat Sigona 5-3 and Western Kenya 6-2.
