Kenya national women’s deaf handball defeated Argentina to qualify into the semi-finals of the ongoing Deaflympic Games in Caxias Do Sul, Brazil.
The Peter Mwathi coached side were 35 -3 winners that propelled them to the semis, the first win of the championships after losing to Denmark, Brazil, and Turkey in 28-12, 26-16, and 43-16 respectively.
In the semis, Kenya will face off with leaders Turkey while second-placed Denmark clash with third-placed Brazil.
The winners in the matches will meet in the final while the losers will clash in the third-place play-off.
